Museum Mystery Tours
(To Be Announced)

Families and history buffs are invited to a fun day discovering our local history at Nevada County’s finest museums.  This year we are pleased to include the Odd Fellows Hall in Nevada City to our list of destinations.

Children are invited to solve some riddles at each of the locations.  What does a stamp mill do?  Which museum building was formally an orphanage?  What year was the Odd Fellows Lodge established?  How long did the county have its own railroad?  The answers to these and other mysteries will be revealed on the discovery tours.

Update:  The event was a great success and we're already planning for next year!

The Christmas Party on the first Saturday in December draws hundreds of children to the brightly decorated museum for an opportunity to visit Santa Claus and receive a gift.  The event is filled with family fun and refreshments.  Last year more than 1000 people dropped by to see Santa.  We hope to see you here.
